Hand Techniques
Use both arms on hand techniques. Sometimes, both arms start out crossed, over the midsection. For strikes, the striking hand starts inside (nearest the body). An example of this is hammer fist. For blocks, the blocking hand stars on the outside (furthest from the body). An example of this is the down block.
Kicking Techniques
360 jump spin side
1) right fighting stance
2) bring left (back) leg up and forward, like a side kick
3) spin right (direction of left big toe)
4) when facing opposite direction that you started in, drop left foot to floor while kicking behind you with right foot. (You end up kicking with foot that started out in front.)
jump spin side
like a normal spin side, but add a single hop when pivoting
butterfly kicks
DON'T use your hips to pivot side to side. Use your planted foot, ankle, and leg.
360 roundhouse
starting in back stance
1) turn around (dwito dura)
2) slide new front foot backwards (get a bit of air)
3) launch off back foot, land on front foot, pivot and kick
spin crossing kick
from right back stance:
1) turn upper body AND FRONT FOOT ONLY to the left (in direction of right big toe), so facing backwards. LEAVE BACK FOOT FACING ORIGINAL DIRECTION
2) pivot on right foot. Use torque of right foot, ankle and leg--NOT hips/upper body
3) when can see target, Lift left leg, bent at knee
4) when mostly facing target, extend kicking leg in a crossing kick
5) bring leg around, ending in right back stance
